Terms of Use
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Wash Day (the “game”, “service”), operated by WHO DEVELOP LTD, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 09096989, with its registered office at 124 City Road, London EC1V 2NX, England, United Kingdom. By playing the game — in a browser, on the App Store, on Google Play, or via a portal partner — you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't play.
2. Eligibility
You can play Wash Day at any age. If you're under the age of legal majority in your country, you should review these Terms with a parent or guardian. In-app purchases require a parent or guardian's permission if you are under 18.
3. The game
Wash Day is a slide-puzzle game where you clean tiles by swiping a washer nozzle across a grid. We provide the game itself, a daily puzzle, an optional account-sync feature, and an optional cosmetic shop. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
4. Your account (optional)
You can play forever without an account. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple to sync progress across devices, you agree to:
- Use only one identity provider for your own account.
- Not impersonate anyone else or share your sign-in credentials.
- Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.
We can suspend or close an account that violates these Terms. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen or by emailing us at hi@washday.game.
5. Acceptable use
While playing Wash Day, you agree not to:
- Modify, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the game's source code, level data, or solver logic, except where the law expressly allows it.
- Use bots, scripts, emulators, or automated tooling to solve puzzles, farm diamonds, or fake leaderboard scores.
- Tamper with localStorage values, network requests, or the daily puzzle seed to gain an unfair leaderboard position.
- Bypass or interfere with our ad systems, our purchase verification, or the host portal's SDK.
- Use the game in a way that violates any applicable law (including export-control or sanctions regimes).
- Use the game's branding, art, music, or other assets in your own projects without our written permission (see §7).
6. Purchases and refunds
Some Wash Day features (e.g. one-time ad removal, cosmetic skin packs) are available as in-app purchases. Pricing is shown in your local currency at the time of purchase.
- Digital goods: cosmetic items are virtual goods delivered immediately on purchase. They have no monetary value and cannot be transferred between accounts.
- Refunds: purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are governed by those platforms' refund policies. Web purchases are non-refundable except where consumer law (e.g. the EU 14-day right of withdrawal for non-digital goods) requires otherwise. If a purchase fails to deliver, contact us and we'll make it right.
- No power-ups for sale: we don't sell solutions, hints, level skips, or anything that affects gameplay difficulty. Diamonds only buy cosmetics.
7. Intellectual property
The game's name, branding, original art, level designs, music, sound effects, and source code are owned by WHO DEVELOP LTD and protected by copyright and trademark law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the game for your own enjoyment. You do not receive any other rights.
Streaming, recording, and sharing screenshots of your own gameplay is welcome and encouraged. Using our branding to suggest endorsement of your own product is not.
8. Third-party services
When you play on Poki, CrazyGames, itch.io, the App Store, or Google Play, the host platform's own terms of service apply alongside these. If their terms conflict with ours regarding your interaction with that platform, theirs take precedence for the platform-level parts (login, payment, refunds, ads). These Terms still govern your interaction with the game itself.
9. Availability
We aim to keep Wash Day running, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted service. The game is provided “as is” and “as available”. We may introduce downtime for maintenance or, in rare cases, retire the game with reasonable notice.
10. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You play at your own risk.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, WHO DEVELOP LTD's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or the game is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ten pounds sterling. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost saves, lost streaks, or in-game items, except where liability cannot be limited by law (e.g. for our gross negligence, wilful misconduct, fraud, death, or personal injury).
Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
12. Termination
We can suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms — for example, by cheating, abusing the game, or trying to harm other players. You can stop using the game at any time; deleting the app, clearing your browser data, or asking us to delete your synced account all work.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms occasionally. When we do, we update the “Last updated” date above. For material changes, we'll surface a notice in the game on next launch and (for signed-in accounts) by email. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of London, England, unless your local consumer-protection law gives you the right to sue in your country of residence — in which case you can.
